Day trip to La Noria
A day exploring La Noria about 40 minutes from Mazatlán
MEXICO
I was scrolling through the map looking for kid-friendly attractions for Aliya and came across the La Vaca Lupe farm, which was located near a town called La Noria, about 40 km northeast of Mazatlán.
The La Vaca Lupe farm is a family-run farm with many attractions for children such as swings, slides, obstacle courses, mechanical bull rides, ziplining, and horseback riding. There were a lot of ducks, chickens, turkeys, and piglets running around the farm. The farm also had cows, horses, and goats.
After visiting the farm, we drove a few minutes into the town of La Noria and ate at a restaurant called El Aureliano de La Noria. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a fountain and colourful flags strung across the walls. The restaurant also has a few rooms on the 2nd floor for overnight guests.
We decided to go up to the 3rd floor which had a nice breeze and view of the town square. As soon as we sat down, the servers brought out a tray of tortillas chips, cheese and salsa for dipping and a small dish of watermelon. I had a glass of fresh orange juice and Andrew and a glass of hibiscus flower tea. For food, I decided to get the roasted sheep-shank and Andrew had the pork carnitas. The taste and the size of the meals were very satisfying.

It was a fun little trip with Aliya and we plan to go back to the La Noria area again to do some ziplining and sample some blue agave. So, stay tuned! Happy exploring!

Afterwards, we walked around the town to view the town sign and some nicely decorated streets.
