Christmas lights at Mazatlán central park
Mazatlán getting into the Christmas spirit with decorations at Central Park
MEXICO
I love Christmas and all the festivities that go with it. Lucky for us, the city of Mazatlán gone all out putting up spectacular light displays at central park. There were Reindeer lights, Christmas trees, a Santa sleigh and more all dotted around the park.
This normally quiet park in the heart of the city was transformed into a Christmas village with millions of lights. There was food, music, amusement park rides, and even a skating rink. And best of all, admission was free!
Below is a video of a few light displays and the food village.
We arrived just before sunset and Aliya had a great time looking at and exploring the lights around the park. When it got dark, the park really came alive with the lights creating a feast for the eyes. Below are photos we got of some of the displays.
This display typically runs for two weeks at the end of December and one week at the beginning of January. We recommend getting their just before sunset to grab a parking spot as the adjacent lots fill up quick with the large crowds, or take a taxi down to get dropped off at the front gate. Happy exploring!
