This new aquarium in Mazatlán opened in 2023, and is home to more than 4,000 marine individuals. It has three floors and 19 exhibition spaces, including an oceanic fish tank with 2.5 million liters of water, as well as a large coral tank.

The entrance fee is 380 pesos and that includes visiting the aquarium and going inside the aviary but cost extra to feed the stingrays and for the sea lions show. Several times a day, the scuba divers put on a show in the big tank. When we were there, one of the scuba divers grabbed one of the massive fish and swam with it. It was wild!

It was a unique experience with many species on display, as well as some rescue turtles that were swimming in their own tank.

A trip to the aquarium is a great way to spend a few hours in the city of Mazatlán. Happy exploring!

Besides seeing the sea creatures swimming around in the tanks, we also saw some crocodiles, iguanas, and pelicans in the garden outside the building.
