Diving in Costa Rica was a bucket list item that we were excited to check off. Doing research online I found that Drake Bay offered some boat tours over to the Isla del Cano Biological Reserve where a plethora of marine creatures were said to be found.

We booked our trip with Drake Divers and found them to be prompt with chill guides to take us on this great excursion. We were unsure of what the visibility would be but were pleasantly surprised as we jumped into the water and immediately found a school of fish surrounding us as we descended to the bottom. On the bottom we found sharks, rays, turtles, eels, and more! It was an exciting trip and an amazing experience.

Below are a few video clips of the underwater adventure!

We found that each dive was over all too quickly and before we knew it, we had to head back up the line to the boat at the surface.

If you are visiting Costa Rica and want a small town laid back experience, I highly recommend visiting Drake and taking a trip to Isla del Cano. Happy exploring!
