Nauyaca Waterfalls Horseback Ride

Just inland from the town of Dominical on the west coast of Costa Rica is the picturesque Nauyaca Waterfalls. I stumbled across them when searching for a horseback riding adventure. The area is privately owned but you can choose to walk, ride in a 4x4 vehicle, or horseback ride to the falls for a refreshing swim experience.
We booked through their website https://nauyacawaterfallscostarica.com/ and then arrived at their roadside office for the 8 am start.
The guides ask about our riding experience and paired us up with horses suited to our level. We then saddled up and were on the road to the waterfalls.
When we arrived, the upper falls cascaded down into a rocky section and created a refreshing mist on the trail.

As the horseback riders were the first to set off up the road at 8 in the morning, we are also the first to arrive at the two level falls. We quickly changed into our swimsuits at the change rooms and got a much more relaxed experience before the additional tours arrived.
