We had the incredible opportunity to travel around Australia, visiting Sydney, Brisbane, the Northern Territory, and western Australia. Our home and where we grew up. Vancouver offers a plethora of hiking trails that showcase the stunning beauty of the surrounding nature. Annual snowboard trips to Whistler and Blackcomb have always been a highlight. Canada is vast with almost endless locations to explore. From Mount Robson National Park that offers stunning landscapes, including glaciers, turquoise lakes, and soaring mountain peaks, to sailing around the west coast. Costa Rica was amazing to explore. We visited La Fortuna and were enchanted by the majestic Arenal Volcano, and indulged in the rejuvenating hot springs. We visited Manuel Antonio National Park in Quepos and explored its renowned rainforests and diverse wildlife. Dominical, with its stunning beaches, will be perfect for relaxing and enjoying the soothing waves of the Pacific Ocean. As avid scuba divers, we explored the underwater wonders of Drake. Our trip to Cuba was an exciting adventure. The beautiful coastal town of Varadero offers pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We also visited Havana, which is a must-visit to experience old-world charm and delve into the rich history of this iconic city. To admire the well-preserved colonial buildings, and the colorful vintage cars. We also took the opportunity to scuba dive at Coral Beach and the Bay of Pigs where we were surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and fascinating marine life. Janet's first home and one of our favorite destinations. One of the most iconic features of Hong Kong is its stunning skyline, dominated by towering skyscrapers that light up the night sky. Hong Kong is also home to beautiful natural landscapes, including scenic hiking trails, pristine beaches, and lush greenery. The outlying islands of Lantau and Lamma offer opportunities for outdoor adventure and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Culturally, Hong Kong is a dynamic and diverse city, with a rich heritage reflected in its temples, festivals, and traditions. Our journey to Malaysia was an adventure starting in the bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur. We were awestruck by its towering skyscrapers rich cultural heritage and unique cuisine. Penang, let us indulge in its diverse culinary scene and we explored the UNESCO-listed George Town, with its charming colonial architecture. The picturesque Langkawi Island has pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and provided an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. To escape the heat we ventured into the stunning Cameron Highlands, famous for its tea estates and lush greenery. Malaysia truly was an unforgettable journey, encompassing modernity, history, and natural beauty. Mexico is a vast country with a variety of different unique regions. We stayed on the west coast at the city of Mazatlan. This city is known for its beautiful beaches, rich history, and delicious seafood cuisine. We stayed for 6 months and were able to immerse ourselves in the local culture and learn more about the traditions and customs of the Mazatlecos. From wandering through the charming streets of the historic downtown to riding the waves at the beach, Mazatlan was a truly unforgettable experience. Traveling around New Zealand was an incredible experience. From the lively adventure hub of Queenstown, known for its adrenaline-fueled activities, to the tranquil, awe-inspiring beauty of Milford Sound nestled in remote Fiordland, this country offers something for everyone. The North Island is home to geothermal wonders in Rotorua and beautiful beaches in the Bay of Islands, while the South Island boasts breathtaking landscapes like the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. Along the way, we explored the Maori culture. Whether you're exploring the charming towns of the Coromandel Peninsula or taking a scenic drive along the rugged coastline of the Catlins, New Zealand left us in awe with its diverse landscapes and warm hospitality. Traveling to the Philippines was incredible and we will be back for more exploring. From the stunning islands of Coron and El Nido, with their turquoise waters and limestone cliffs, to the bustling city of Puerto Princesa, there is so much to explore. Moalboal gave us incredible diving opportunities, with its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. We also made it to Bohol, where we viewed the unique Chocolate Hills and adorable tarsiers. It was truly an unforgettable trip to South Korea, exploring its vibrant cities. Starting in Seoul, we were captivated by the bustling streets, towering skyscrapers, and delicious street food. In Jeonju, we visited the traditional hanok village and had mouthwatering bibimbap. The tranquil atmosphere and charming architecture made it a perfect retreat. In Busan, a coastal city known for its stunning beaches and fresh seafood. The bustling markets and lively nightlife added an extra dose of excitement to my trip. South Korea truly exceeded my expectations, offering a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. Thailand was an amazing country and a sensory overload. The sights, sounds, and smells in the capital of Bangkok were an adventure in themselves. Bangkok, is a bustling metropolis known for its vibrant street markets, ornate temples, and bustling nightlife. We explored the Grand Palace, a stunning complex that houses the famous Emerald Buddha. We took the train up to Chiang Mai, located in the north of Thailand. This city offered a more laid-back and cultural experience. We hiked up the hill to visit the famous Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which was a beautiful temple perched on a mountaintop. Living right next door to the United States of America gave us the opportunity to explore several of its great attractions. With a little one in tow we packed the baby carrier and headed down to many of the amazing national parks to explore this countries natural beauty. We embarked on an unforgettable journey through Vietnam, beginning in the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh. From there, we traveled up the east coastal city of Nha Trang, where we were captivated by its pristine beaches and clear turquoise waters. Continuing the adventure, we visited the enchanting ancient town of Hoi An, known for its well-preserved architecture and traditional charm. The journey took us to the mystical caves and tranquil countryside of Phong Nha, where we marveled at nature's wonders. These picturesque landscapes and tranquil countryside provided a serene escape before reaching our final destination, Hanoi.
