Visiting Coron in the Philippines is an absolute delight. This small island located in the Palawan province offers breathtaking natural beauty and a wide array of activities. We explored the crystal-clear waters and marveled at the vibrant coral reefs by both snorkeling and scuba diving.
It was easy to book a boat tour and discover hidden lagoons, enchanting lakes, and picturesque beaches. For thrill-seekers, there's the opportunity to go island hopping and visit the stunning Kayangan Lake. With its pristine beaches, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality, Coron is a tropical paradise worth exploring. Our visit to Coron first started on the overnight ferry from Manila. The boat was very modern and the beds were comfy and cozy. Be sure to bring an eye mask as they keep the lights on in the bunk area overnight.
The ferry arrived at Coron early in the morning so we got to experience the sleepy side of the town as the sun just began to rise in the skyline.
The next day, we joined an island hopping and snorkeling tour. The water was warm and clear and the lunch venue was absolutely stunning with seating in the water for us to wiggle our toes in the sand. We had an absolute blast spending the day swimming with all the colorful fishes in the crystal-clear turquoise water and dipping our toes in the pristine white sand.
During our scuba diving expedition, the guide led us to several World War II shipwrecks for exploration. It was a truly distinctive experience to have the opportunity to examine the underwater artifacts up close and firsthand.
Visiting Coron exceeded our expectations and we would love to make it back to this paradise again in the future. Happy exploring!
This calmness was in high contrast to the excitement and bustling atmosphere of its vibrant night market, where locals and tourists alike gathered to experience the bustling atmosphere. The air filled with tantalizing aromas and colorful stalls. As the sun set, the market came alive with an array of street food vendors offering mouthwatering delicacies such as grilled seafood, barbecued meats, and freshly cooked noodles.
The sound of sizzling pans and the chatter of eager customers created an energetic ambiance. The night market in Coron was not only a culinary delight but also a cultural experience, as it provided a glimpse into the local lifestyle and traditions.
