Cameron Highlands

Visiting the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia was an amazing experience. Nestled in the heart of the country, this picturesque destination offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush forests, and vibrant tea plantations. The cool and refreshing climate was a welcome respite from the tropical heat. It was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We were able to explore a few of the many trails that wind through the highlands that lead to stunning lookout points. Additionally, the Cameron Highlands is renowned for its tea production and we were able to book a tour that provided insight into the production along with tea tasting sessions. The tea fields are expansive and continue over hills and ridges as far as the eye can see.

Included in the tour was also a stop at a butterfly farm where you could view many different varieties of butterflies and have them surround you as you walked through the garden.

With its lush greenery, rolling hills, and cool climate, this region offers a truly unforgettable hiking experience. As we embarked on our hiking adventure we were surrounded by towering mountains and lush greenery. We did Jungle Trail 10 and had a beautiful sunny day. There were some slippery and muddy sections, so wear good footwear.

Another great stop on the tour was the Sam Poh Temple where a wall of buddha tiles mesmerized us with its vastness.

A visit to the Cameron Highlands provides an escape from the heat and can lead to some amazing experiences. Happy exploring!
