Bryce Canyon National Park is a spectacular destination with breathtaking views. Located in Utah, this park is renowned for its unique rock formations called hoodoos. Visitors can explore the park's numerous hiking trails, which offer stunning panoramic views of the colorful Bryce Amphitheater. The park also provides opportunities for camping, stargazing, and wildlife spotting.
One of the most popular spots in Bryce Canyon are the sunrise and sunset points, where the sun's rays create a magical display of colors on the towering hoodoos. We began our day driving out to Rainbow Point, which was the furthest stop on the Bryce road. Due to Bryce’s high elevation (8000-9000 feet), it was chilly and windy at Rainbow point so we bundled up. There are a few short trails that lead to amazing lookouts into the valley below.
The valley views were amazing, you can see an astounding number of hoodoos within the park. One of our favorite lookouts was Bryce Point, the trail was nice and wide and the views were expansive. The hoodoos stood out across the wide panorama view. As we looked around, we started to spot other hikers down in the valley looking like ants on the vast landscape.

Wanting to get up close to these towering hoodoos that were the height of a 20-story building, we headed to Sunset Point. We walked along the Rim Trail and down the Queens Garden Trail. It was a surreal experience to be able to touch and feel the gritty rocks and walk in this robust yet fragile environment. Walking through this never-ending maze of hoodoos, wide trails, and even a tunnel is an experience I will never forget.
